Frequency Edition viewers such as Snowglobe:Frequency have been discontinued. The information on this page has been kept for future reference only.
It’s a bit inconvenient to keep track of all details of my Second Life viewers in a blog. Therefore the project now has it’s own web site.
I am working on both GreenLife Emerald and Snowglobe versions, or Frequency Editions
Just to summarise the main changes:
- automatically go to busy mode, when viewer window lost focus (configurable)
- you can now add custom tags for avatars, which will then show in their group/name tag hover text box, which is quite handy if you often go to crowded places. (to be found in the notes tab of avatar profiles)
- you can choose the colour of the name tag box for each tagged avatar individually
- friends’ name tags will be displayed in yellow, making it easy to spot them in a crowd
- removed “(Edit Appearance)” from hover text box, as it’s pretty obvious by the avatar’s pose anyway
- made dock icon (Mac only) not bounce any more, when dialogs pop up while the window doesn’t have focus (play safe at work
) - grey out groups, which have been chosen to not be displayed in your profile
- payment status and age added to avatars name tags
And for Emerald in paricular (to slim it down a bit):
- removed experimental IRC and Utility Stream (don’t see an audience for that, really)
- removed viewer information (colour and “Emerald” tag) from name tag box, as it’s totally useless information, which would conflict with the custom tagging above; broken client detection removed all together
Check it out!
